FIELD: copper coatings chemical deposition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical deposition of copper coatings on the surface of stainless steel 12X18H10T using molten salts and can be used to protect structural materials from corrosion. The method includes chemical-thermal treatment of the surface of steel 12X18H10T in a salt melt of the composition СuCl 6 wt.% - KCl 89 wt.% - NaF 5 wt.%. Surface treatment of steel is carried out in an inert atmosphere at a temperature of 500°C for at least 90 minutes.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a high-quality copper coating with a thickness sufficient to protect the surface of steel 12Kh18N10T from corrosion outside the air atmosphere and the use of aggressive volatile products.
