SUBSTANCE: invention relates to naturally wettable silicone hydrogel contact lenses. Disclosed is a silicone-hydrogel contact lens comprising a silicone-hydrogel matrix material, which contains a polysiloxane-vinyl cross-linking agent containing fragments, which are H-donors, a siloxane-containing vinyl monomer with fragments, which are H-donors, or without them, and N-vinylamide monomer. Also disclosed is a method of producing such lenses.
EFFECT: naturally wettable silicone hydrogel contact lenses are characterized by a combination of the desired contact lens properties, including relatively high oxygen permeability, relatively high water content, relatively low modulus and relatively low percentage of atomic Si on the surface.
