FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymerisable prepolymers, subjected to water processing, and versions of thereof application. Claimed is polymerisable prepolymer, subjected to water processing, which contains: (1) siloxane-containing monomer units, obtained from one or several siloxane-containing vinyl monomers, each of which has at least one hydrophilic polymer chain, which has number average molecular weight to 10000 Da; (2) hydrophilic monomer units obtained from one or several hydrophilic vinyl monomers; (3) 0.05-5 wt % of polymerisable units, each of which has side or terminal ethylene-unsaturated group and is free from any polysiloxane segment. Prepolymer has 20-50 wt % of silicone relative to the total weight of prepolymer and is characterised by high solubility or dispersibility in water and can be applied in manufacturing silicone hydrogel contact lenses. Also claimed are silicone hydrogel contact lenses based on claimed prepolymer and method for thereof obtaining.

EFFECT: claimed prepolymer makes it possible to obtain silicone hydrogel contact lenses in accordance with Lightstream TechnologyTM technology with relatively low cost with provision of high degree of agreement with initial lens construction and high accuracy of its reproduction.
