FIELD: video encoding/decoding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for video encoding and decoding. Access to a set of predictor candidates is performed, wherein a predictor candidate corresponds to a spatial or time neighboring unit that was encoded. A predictor candidate is selected from the set of predictor candidates. Access to a set of motion vectors of a control point, stored for the mentioned selected predictor candidate, is performed. At the same time, the set of motion vectors of a control point is stored separately from motion vectors of all subunits of the mentioned selected predictor candidate. In this case, the mentioned motion vectors of all subunits of the mentioned selected predictor candidate are obtained using the mentioned set of motion vectors of a control point for the mentioned selected predictor candidate based on an affine motion model. At the same time, the mentioned motion vectors of all subunits of the mentioned selected predictor candidate are intended for motion compensation of the mentioned selected predictor candidate.

EFFECT: increase in the encoding efficiency.
