FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: multifuel internal combustion engine (100) with oppositely moving pistons (2, 3) contains at least one cylinder (1) with at least one landing socket for mounting injection nozzle (41), and at least one window (51) in cylinder (1). Combustion chamber (4) is formed between pistons (2, 3). At least one of pistons (2, 3) contains at least one vortex chamber (22) located near bottom (21) of piston (2) in communication with combustion chamber (4) by means of first section channel (24). In this case, in at least one of pistons (2, 3), there is second section channel (23) providing communication of at least one window (51) with at least one vortex chamber (22), when pistons (2, 3) are in the upper dead point (hereinafter – UDP). At least one nozzle (41) is made with the possibility of fuel injection, when pistons (2, 3) are in UDP, to at least one vortex chamber (22) through at least one window (51) and through at least one second section channel (23).
EFFECT: providing for the effective ignition of a fuel-air mixture and its complete combustion.
