METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE CLINICAL COURSE OF NEUROENDOCRINE NEOPLASMS OF THE COLON Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/574 C12Q1/68

Abstract RU 2771421 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to the field of genetics and molecular oncology, and concerns a method for predicting the clinical course of neuroendocrine neoplasms of the colon. The method includes the selection of biopsy material, isolation of total DNA from tissue samples using the method for phenol-chloroform extraction, bisulfite conversion of DNA, followed by its use as a matrix for amplification of regulatory regions in the presence of gene-specific primers, pyrosequencing of the obtained amplicons in the presence of a specific primer, determination of methylation of the promoter region of the gene. If the methylation status of MetLINE1 is more than 72%, MetAPC1 is less than 11%, MetMGMT is less than 10.5%, MetRASSF1A is less than 12% and MetRUNX3 is less than 10%, a favorable clinical course of the disease should be expected, with MetLINE values less than or equal to 72%, MetAPC1 is greater than or equal to 11%, MetMGMT is greater than or equal to 10.5%, MetRASSF1A is greater than or equal to 12% and MetRUNX3 is greater than or equal to 10%, on the contrary, an unfavorable course of the disease should be expected.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to distinguish two categories of patients at the preoperative stage on the basis of a favorable and unfavorable prognosis of the clinical course of the disease and to determine the rational tactics of patient management.
