SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and is intended for the diagnosis of metastases of colon cancer. From tissue samples of the colon, total DNA is isolated. Bisulphite conversion of DNA preparations and subsequent amplification and pyrosequencing is carried out. Highly specific primers for the regulatory sequences of the CDH13 gene are used. Calculate the median of the methylation of Met (%) CpG sites. In case of exceeding Met the established norm for the genetic locus CDH13 confirm the presence of metastases.

EFFECT: invention provides effective method for detecting metastases in patients with colon cancer that does not require additional invasive procedures.
