FIELD: audio data processing.
SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions relates to various methods for audio processing, including methods for controlling low audio frequencies. Some of the disclosed methods involve multi-band control of low audio frequencies. Some such examples may involve application of multiple frequencies of a high-pass and low-pass filter for the purpose of controlling low audio frequencies. Some of the disclosed methods interpret at least some low-frequency signals as pannable audio objects. Some of the disclosed methods involve separate panning of low and high frequencies. After the high frequencies are rendered, the power audit can determine the low-frequency deficit coefficient, reproducible by means of subwoofers or other loudspeakers with low frequency support.
EFFECT: ensured reproduction of low-frequency audio without excessive distortion.
