SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol generating devices and systems, such as electrically controlled aerosol generating devices and systems held by hand. An aerosol generating device contains a case and a power supply unit made with the possibility of supplying power to a heating element by means of an assembled transformer inside the case. The assembled transformer contains a magnetic circuit, a primary circuit containing primary winding passing around the first part of the magnetic circuit and electrically connected to the power supply unit, and a secondary circuit containing secondary winding inductively connected to primary winding and passing around the second part of the magnetic circuit. A number of turns in primary winding exceeds a number of turns in secondary winding. Secondary circuit contains at least two electric contacts made with the possibility of forming an electrical connection to the heating element.

EFFECT: providing more flexibility relatively to the structure and materials that can be selected for the heating element.
