FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heating elements for aerosol generating systems. Heating element comprises a screen, wherein the screen comprises a plurality of first threads extending in a first direction, wherein the first threads comprise a first material having a first electrical conductivity. Mesh also comprises a plurality of second threads extending in a second direction, wherein the first direction is perpendicular to the second direction, and wherein the second threads comprise a second material having a second electrical conductivity. First conductivity is higher than the second conductivity. Each of the first threads contains a core and a coating covering the core. Coating contains the first material, and the core of each of the first threads is made from the material having lower electric conductivity than the first material. Heater assembly also contains the first electric clamp and the second electric clamp, each of which is connected to at least one of the first threads. During use, electric current passes between the first electric clamp and the second electric clamp through a plurality of second threads.
EFFECT: enabling distribution of electric current from the power supply unit to the second threads through the first threads of the heating element, eliminating the need for an electrode on the grid.
