FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: USY zeolite with a molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 = 11 is subjected to three-fold ion exchange treatment. At the first stage, zeolite is suspended in 15 wt. % solution of ammonium nitrate, the pH of the suspension is adjusted to 1.65, it is heated and maintained. The filtered precipitate is washed with distilled water, the washed precipitate is dried. At the second stage, the dry sediment is suspended in 15 wt. % solution of ammonium nitrate, the pH of the suspension is adjusted to 1.78, it is heated, and maintained. Filtration, washing and drying of the sediment are carried out. At the third stage, the dry sediment is suspended in 15 wt. % solution of ammonium nitrate, the pH of the suspension is adjusted to 1.93, it is heated, maintained. Filtration, washing and drying of the sediment are carried out. The resulting USY zeolite in NH3 form with a molar ratio of SiO2 /Al2O3 = 11 is added to a mixture containing 15 wt. % boehmite Pural SB and 35 wt. % Disperal HP 14. Peptizing 5 wt. % solution of nitric acid is added to the resulting mass, distilled water is added in portions and mixed until a homogeneous mass suitable for molding is obtained. The resulting mass is formed, extruded, dried at a temperature of 60°C, 80°C and 110°C for 2 hours at each temperature and calcined at a temperature of 550°C for 5 hours. Cerium oxide is applied to the obtained zeolite granules by wet impregnation with an excess of solution from an aqueous solution of cerium nitrate based on the content of 0.3-0.7 wt. % in the finished catalyst, mixed, kept at room temperature for 2-2.5 hours and the spent solution is drained. The catalyst is dried at a temperature of 110-120°C for 2-3 hours and calcined at a temperature of 550°C for 5 hours. At the same time, at the stages of ion exchange treatment, the pH of the suspension is adjusted by adding 70 wt. % nitric acid solution, the suspension is heated to a temperature of 80-85°C and kept for 40-60 minutes, the precipitate is dried at a temperature of 100-105°C for 1-1.5 hours.
EFFECT: increase in the catalytic activity of the catalyst, which makes it possible to obtain the target product: isopropylbenzene with a DIPB conversion of more than 79% and a yield of more than 60 wt. %.
