SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the treatment or prevention of alopecia areata. A remedy for the treatment or prevention of alopecia areata contains a cyclic amine derivative represented by the following general formula (I) or its pharmacologically acceptable salt as an active ingredient: , where R¹ is an alkoxy group having 1-3 carbon atoms, any 1-3 hydrogen atoms of which are optionally substituted with a halogen atom(s); R² is a halogen atom; R³ is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a hydroxy group; R⁴ is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; X is -C(=O)-(CH₂)_n-R⁵ or -S(=O)₂-R⁶; n is an integer from 0 to 5; R⁵ is a hydrogen atom, -OR⁷, -SR⁷, -S(=O)₂-R⁷, -C(=O)-OR⁷, -N(R⁷)R⁸, an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, any 1-3 hydrogen atoms of which are optionally substituted with a halogen atom(s), or a heteroaryl group, any hydrogen atom(s) of which is optionally substituted with an alkyl group(s) having 1-3 carbon atoms; R⁶ is an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms; R⁷ is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, any 1-3 hydrogen atoms of which are optionally substituted with a halogen atom(s); R⁸ is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, an acyl group having 2-4 carbon atoms, or an alkyl sulfonyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms.
