FIELD: foundry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of foundry and can be used in investment casting in ceramic molds. A method for removing a model block from a ceramic mold in investment casting, consisting of a wax model composition on which the ceramic mold is formed, includes impregnating the ceramic mold with water, placing it in a boiler clave for melting the model block, and pre-calcining the ceramic mold. A ceramic mold with a model block containing at least one wax model is soaked in water for 3-5 minutes, which makes it possible to increase the thermal conductivity of the molds and reduce the time of melting the molds in the boilerclave. The model block is heated in the boilerclave for 7-9 minutes. Preliminary calcination of the ceramic mold is carried out at a temperature of 740-750°C for 3-4 hours to ensure the removal of crystallization water and the organic component of waxes of the model block.
EFFECT: improvement of the quality of the manufactured casting is ensured by reducing the cracking of the molds when the wax model block is removed from them and reducing the time of melting the molds in the boilerclave, which makes it possible to increase the productivity of the mold production process.
