METHOD FOR PRECLINICAL DIAGNOSIS OF COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES MELLITUS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/55

Abstract RU 2772714 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurology, endocrinology and radiation diagnostics, and can be used for preclinical diagnosis of cognitive impairment in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM). To do this, magnetic resonance perfusion and assessment of cerebral blood flow are performed. At the same time, neurovascularization of the gray matter of the occipital lobe of the brain on the right and left is examined as an assessment of cerebral blood flow. If the asymmetry of the neurovascularization of the gray matter of the occipital lobe of the brain deviates by more than 1.4, cognitive impairment is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides clinical verification of cognitive impairment in this category of patients by assessing the asymmetry of the neurovascularization of the occipital lobe of the gray matter of the brain.
