FIELD: welding technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fluxes intended for electric arc mechanized surfacing and welding of steels. The flux is made of slag produced by silicomanganese containing, wt. %: silicon dioxide 19-48, aluminum oxide 3-28, calcium oxide 10-29, calcium fluoride 0.1-1.7, magnesium oxide 0.7-9.8, manganese oxide 2-19, iron oxide 0.1-2.5, carbon 0.02-0.8, titanium oxide 0.15-0.6, chromium oxide 0.01-0.5, sulfur not more than 0.40, phosphorus no more than 0.40.
EFFECT: use of flux reduces the contamination of steel with non-metallic oxide inclusions, reduces the melting loss of alloying elements during surfacing by reducing the oxidation of the slag system, increases the physico-mechanical properties by increasing the refining ability of the flux in the presence of barium oxides, improves the surface quality of the deposited roller and weld by stabilizing the arc burning process due to the presence of sodium and potassium oxides.
