SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol-generating products containing an aerosol-forming substrate for generating a respirable aerosol when heated. An aerosol-generating product having an upstream end and a downstream end, wherein the aerosol-generating article defines a longitudinal direction between the upstream end and the downstream end, and the aerosol-generating product comprises: an aerosol-generating substrate; and a hollow tubular support element located downstream of the aerosol-forming substrate and extending along the longitudinal direction. The hollow tubular support member defines an opening extending in the longitudinal direction and configured to allow aerosol to flow through to a downstream end. The hardness of the aerosol-generating product at the location of the hollow tubular support member is at least 80%. The aerosol-generating product further comprises a filter located downstream of the hollow tubular support element in the longitudinal direction.
EFFECT: more stable and predictable sensations for the user without compromising the strength of the product and the user's comfort.
