METHOD FOR PREDICTING ANEMIA IN PREGNANT WOMEN WITH COVID-19 PNEUMONIA Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/72 A61B5/1455

Abstract RU 2772906 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to obstetrics and pathological physiology, and can be used to predict the risk of anemia in pregnant women with COVID-19 pneumonia in the third trimester. In the peripheral blood of women, by photometry on a hematological analyzer "Medonic M", Switzerland, the concentration of total hemoglobin, g/l (Hb), as well as the oxygen saturation index in arterial blood, % (SpO2), is determined by a non-invasive method using a portable pulse oximeter "Armed » YX301. The risk of developing anemia in pregnant women with COVID-19 pneumonia in the third trimester is predicted using the equation: PI = -140.961 + (8.916 × Hb) - (8.747 × SpO2), where PI is the predictive index of the discriminant function, the boundary value of which is 21.614. At PI equal to or less than the cut-off value, the risk of developing anemia in pregnant women with COVID-19 pneumonia in the third trimester is predicted. When PI is greater than the boundary value, there is no risk of developing anemia in pregnant women with COVID-19 pneumonia in the third trimester.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of predicting anemia in pregnant women with COVID-19 pneumonia by determining the concentration of total hemoglobin and oxygen saturation in the patient's arterial blood, which are prognostic markers for the development of anemia in pregnant women with COVID-19 pneumonia.
