FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to spherical support units for screening; it can be used in gyration screens for sorting different sizes of a filler. A spherical support unit for a screen contains an external support element defining a cavity and a through hole; an internal support element located inside the cavity. The internal support element contains: a spherical surface; a back side opposite to the spherical surface; and a hole for fixing a rod made in the spherical surface; elastomeric material located inside the cavity near the spherical surface; a rod connected inside the hole for fixing a rod made in the spherical surface, wherein part of the rod protrudes from the through hole; and a device for preventing rotation connected to the rod near the back side. The device for preventing rotation interacts with the back side to at least reduce the rotational movement between the internal support element and the rod. A screening method includes the separation of solid particles by transporting solid substances to a sieve assembly suspended to a platform by means of at least one rod assembly, which contains the first spherical support connected to the platform and the second spherical support connected to the sieve assembly; movement of the sieve assembly in such a way that the first spherical support and the second spherical support cause the sieve assembly to move in the direction aligned with a base of the sieve assembly by sliding the internal support element connected to the rod of at least one rod assembly relatively to an inner concave surface of the external support element; and limitation of movement in perpendicular directions of the sieve assembly by absorption of perpendicular forces by means of elastomeric material separating the external support element and the internal support element.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of separation of solid particles.
