FIELD: packaging.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to packaging used by consumers of contact lenses. More specifically, the present packaging helps to delay the transmission of ultraviolet light through the packaging and thus protect the contact lens from exposure to UV radiation. The contact lens packaging contains a bowl for holding the contact lens; film coming into contact with the specified bowl so that to hold the contact lens between the specified bowl and film; and protective coating for light control, attached to the specified bowl so that the specified coating limits the range of wavelengths of light that can pass through the specified coating and onto the specified bowl. The group of inventions also relates to alternative versions of the device, as well as to protective coating for light control, for a contact lens packaging.
