SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of organic chemistry, namely to benzimidazole derivatives of formula (I) or to a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the said compound, where: R¹ is -(CH₂)_m-R⁴ or ; R² is halogen; R³ is F; R⁴ is -NH-(CH₂)₂-(NH)_r-R⁵, --NH-(CHR⁵R⁶) or a group of the following formula (A): (A); -(CH₂)_m-, -CH₂-O-CH₂-, -(CH₂)_r-S(O)₂-CH₂- or -(CH₂)_r-NR⁵-CH₂-, m is an integer from 1 to 3; n is 1; p is 0 and V is N; q is 0 or 1; r is 0 or 1; R⁵ is -SO₂Me, -SO₂Et or - CONH₂; R⁶ is C₁-C₆ alkyl; and R⁷ is -SO₂Me. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition based on a compound of formula (I), the use of a compound of formula (I), a method for treating a subject suffering from or susceptible to RSV infection, and a method for preparing a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of a compound of formula (I).

EFFECT: novel RSV inhibitors useful for treating or preventing RSV infection are obtained.
