SUBSTANCE: reaction device 100 includes: reaction vessel 10 including channel 12, first inlet air communication hole 24 and second inlet air communication hole 26; temperature control system 102 that provides low temperature area 38 and high temperature area 36 in channel 12; and liquid supply system 120 that moves sample 50 inside channel 12. Liquid supply system 120 includes: pump 121 having outlet 121a; first air duct 129 that connects outlet 121a and first inlet air communication hole 24; second air duct 130 that connects outlet 121a and second inlet air communication hole 26; first three-way valve 123 capable of switching between a state, in which first inlet air communication hole 24 communicates with outlet 121a, and a state, in which first inlet air communication hole 24 is open to atmospheric pressure; second three-way valve 124 capable of switching between a state, in which second inlet air communication hole 26 communicates with outlet 121a, and a state, in which second inlet air communication hole 26 is open to atmospheric pressure; as well as central processing unit (CPU) 105, which controls these components.
