FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of equipment of photoelectrical systems of conversion of light energy into electrical one; it can be used for the manufacture of solar active elements. A photovoltaic 3D-cell consists of substrate made in the form of a cylinder, the cross-section of which in a plane perpendicular to the generatrix is a rectangle, circumference or ellipse with a film layered structure applied to its outer surface, consisting of an active layer converting light energy into electrical one, made between two film electrodes brought to ends of the cylinder: the first one (from substrate) made of optically transparent material with an absorption coefficient more than that of substrate and less that that of the active layer; the second electrode made of metal not transparent and reflective to light. The active layer is made based on one or layer-by-layer combination of several semiconductors: silicon, germanium, gallium arsenide, indium phosphide, while the ratio of the length of substrate-cylinder to a smaller size of its section shape is equal to 2(Kmd)-1, where Km is a median value of the absorption coefficient in its spectral interval, d is a thickness of the active layer.
EFFECT: invention provides for an increase in efficiency coefficient and reduction in the cost of devices using the claimed cell.
