The recess contains the sensitive element of the sensor. The connecting element for signal transmission is made in the body of the tuck. When installing the tamper in the tamping machine, the computer of the machine is connected to the tamper sensor. During tamping, the sensor readings from the tamping are recorded by the machine's computing device.

EFFECT: invention increases the efficiency of ballast tamping.
