SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for producing a haemostatic composition with anti-lymphorrheic properties and to a haemostatic composition with anti-lymphorrheic properties produced thereby. The production method includes adding a soluble silver salt to a solution of polyacrylic acid (PAA), bringing the pH of the PAA solution to 7-7.4, and heating the PAA solution to 90-125°C. The molecular weight of PAA is from 1,000 to 8,000. The composition includes a matrix of cross-linked silver poly(acrylate) with an affinity for proteins.

EFFECT: claimed composition can be used as a sealing agent for terminating the postoperative leaking of lymph (lymphorrhea) and preventing the formation of seromas posing a significant problem in surgical oncology, abdominal and other areas of surgery.
