METHOD FOR PERSONALISED NEUROMONITORING OF THE INTRACRANIAL PRESSURE AND APPARATUS FOR IMPLEMENTATION THEREOF Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/03

Abstract RU 2774593 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, namely, to neurosurgery and resuscitation, and can be used for personalised neuromonitoring of the intracranial pressure. Against the background of constant monitoring, the intracranial pressure (ICP) and the amplitude of wave fluctuations of ICP at the pulse rate are measured before and after a sudden change in the volume of the contents of the intracranial space by a known amount. The linear trend of the dependence of the amplitude of the fluctuations of the CSF pressure at a pressure greater than 15 mm Hg. and the average value of the amplitude of ICP fluctuations deviating from the linear trend by more than 50% are then calculated. The value of decompensation pressure Pd is determined for a specific patient, the amplitude of ICP fluctuations at the decompensation pressure Ad is determined, the prediction of changes in the craniospinal compliance depending on ICP and the pressure Pr corresponding to a 50% reduction in the craniospinal compliance are calculated for a specific patient. The average ICP value is measured constantly for each time and compared with Pr. Apparatus for personalised neuromonitoring of the intracranial pressure includes a body, an electronic computing board located inside the body, as well as a display, connectors for sensor connection, and a signal processing module, connected therewith.

EFFECT: method and apparatus ensure determination of a personalised value of ICP for a specific patient, as well as monitoring of ICP based on the personalised value of ICP due to the levels of excess of monitoring parameters being set beyond the permissible limits, accounting for the personalised parameters of the craniospinal system of a specific patient.
