METHOD FOR PREDICTING DEVELOPMENT OF HYPERDRAINAGE IN INTRAVENTRICULAR HAEMORRHAGES COMPLICATED BY POST-HAEMORRHAGIC HYDROCEPHALUS IN EARLY POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD IN NEWBORNS Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61B5/03

Abstract RU 2833129 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, and can be used to predict the development of hyperdrainage during sanation of the ventricular system in developing post-haemorrhagic hydrocephalus in newborns. In the early postoperative period, the drainage system is connected to an intracranial pressure control apparatus. Intracranial pressure and the rate of excretion of the cerebrospinal fluid from the ventricular system are measured for one hour. After that, maximum and minimum intracranial pressure values are recorded on the curve for this period, their average value and average value of cerebrospinal fluid excretion from the ventricular system per hour of measurement are calculated. Each feature is evaluated in points, then the obtained points are summed up. If the number of points is 2-3, a low degree of risk of developing hyperdrainage in the early postoperative period is predicted, with score of 4, an average degree of risk of developing hyperdrainage in the early postoperative period is predicted, if score is 5-6, a high risk of developing hyperdrainage in the early postoperative period is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of prediction of development of hyperdrainage due to assessment of set of the most significant indicators.
