METHOD FOR EARLY PRECLINICAL DIAGNOSTICS OF PARKINSON'S DISEASE BY CONCENTRATION OF CATECHOLAMINES IN PATIENT'S LACRIMAL FLUID Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/00 G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2775261 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular to the diagnostics of the Parkinson’s disease at a preclinical stage. A method for early preclinical diagnostics of the Parkinson’s disease provides for measurement in lacrimal fluid of a patient without impaired motion function of a concentration of biomarkers, which are norepinephrine, adrenaline and dopamine. Next, measured values of the concentration of the specified biomarkers are compared to values of the concentration of the specified biomarkers in a control sample of the same age without neurological diseases. If in patient’s lacrimal fluid the concentration of norepinephrine and dopamine is higher, and at the same time the concentration of adrenaline is lower compared to the control sample of the same age without neurological diseases, then, the patient is diagnosed with a preclinical stage of the Parkinson’s disease.

EFFECT: invention provides for quick, cheap and non-invasive method for early preclinical diagnostics of the Parkinson’s disease.
