METHOD FOR PRE-MEDICAL RAPID DIAGNOSIS OF STROKE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/361 A61B5/11

Abstract RU 2775429 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to methods for predicting and early pre-medical diagnosis of stroke. At the same time, an analysis of the electrocardiogram (ECG), testing of body position and testing for the detection of speech disorders are carried out. Monitoring of the patient's condition is carried out using a portable device, which is fixed on the chest using disposable self-adhesive ECG sensors. The signals from the sensors are sent to the microcontroller of the device, where they analyze the ECG, test the body position and test for the detection of speech disorders. The moment of occurrence of atrial fibrillation as a result of ECG analysis is determined by the presence of a difference in RR intervals and the absence of a P wave. Immediately after fixing the onset of atrial fibrillation, the microcontroller performs testing for the detection of speech disorders. At the command of the microcontroller, audio recordings of test questions sound from the speaker of the device: “State your name”, “Name your date of birth” and then the audio recording of the command: repeat the phrase “No if, and, or but”. Using a microphone located on the device, an audio recording of the patient's responses is carried out. The microcontroller compares the received audio recordings with the primary audio recordings of the patient's responses made before the start of monitoring. At the same time, the body position is tested using a body position assessment unit located on the device, which includes an accelerometer and a magnetic compass. If, after the onset of atrial fibrillation, there are no speech disorders or the fact of a fall or cessation of the patient's motor activity, the patient is advised to contact a cardiologist through the speaker of the device. Monitoring of the ECG and the patient's condition continues until the patient contacts a cardiologist. Pre-medical diagnosis of stroke is carried out when speech disorders or the fact of a fall or cessation of the patient's motor activity along with atrial fibrillation are detected. The microcontroller via the Bluetooth interface sends a notification to the external computer about the need for emergency hospitalization of the patient.

EFFECT: efficiency of diagnosing and taking measures for hospitalization of a patient is increased using a portable monitoring device of increased reliability with the ability to analyze ECG, test body position and test for the detection of speech disorders directly in the microcontroller of the device, which eliminates the need to use expensive data processing modules that implement the function of artificial intelligence and placed on an external device.
