FIELD: locomotives friction activation devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for activating the friction of locomotives, which is made in the form of a controlled pneumatic drive for supplying the friction activator shoe to the surface of the locomotive wheel with the possibility of pressing it and pressing it from the wheel rolling surface, the operation of the drive is synchronized with the operation of the electronic security and control systems of the locomotive. At the same time, the friction activator block is made in the form of a composite element, the frame of which is made of a solid material, for example, aluminum, cast iron, the cavities of which are filled with a friction-activating substance, which is a resin-based composition, for example, polyester resin, filled with special functional additives. In this case, the body of the friction activator shoe contains a sensor for monitoring the wear limit of the friction activator shoe, and the pneumatic drive of the friction activator shoe contains a limit sensor that stops the extension of the pneumatic cylinder rod when the wear limit of the friction activator shoe is reached.
EFFECT: ensuring limiting wear of the activator pad upon reaching its maximum output resource.
