SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aircraft building and can be used in developing constructive measures for preventing the entry of foreign objects in the air intake of an aircraft at the stages of takeoff and landing, as well as in studying and modelling the processes of vortex formation and entry of foreign objects in the air intake from the surface of a runway. The stated technical result is achieved by determining the speed and acceleration of the foreign object by the least squares method using spaced vertical and horizontal lines of emitting diodes and photodetectors of a first and a second sensors, as well as issuing the values of speed and acceleration estimates to an additionally introduced indicator.

EFFECT: increase in the informative value of determining the entry of foreign objects in the air intake of an aircraft with a turbojet engine.
