FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiovascular surgery. To reduce the risk of restenosis of the ICA after cerebral revascularization in case of local hemodynamically significant stenosis of the ICA, the CCA, ECA, and ICA are clamped at its mouth until it is cut off. ECA and ICA are clamped 4 cm above their mouth. The ICA is cut off 2.5 cm above the orifice. The area of the ICA with local stenosis at the orifice is sutured. A round hole 0.5 cm in diameter is formed in the side wall of the ECA 2.5 cm above its orifice.
EFFECT: method eliminates inflammation of the inner surface of the ICA and reduces the risk of neointimal hyperplasia by eliminating the removal of atherosclerotic plaque.
