SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to neurology, physical and rehabilitation medicine, and can be used to estimate the rehabilitation potential of a patient after a suffered ischemic stroke. The presence of tobacco smoking is established in the patient, the subtype of ischemic stroke is determined, the presence of ischemic foci in the brain stem and structures thereof, stenosis of brachiocephalic vessels, the presence of atrial fibrillation, and the content of low-density lipoproteins are diagnosed. The functional state of the patient is then determined according to the Rankin scale and the rehabilitation routing scale both on admission and on discharge. The values of functions F1, F2, F3 and F4 are then determined based on the specified formulas, and the rehabilitation potential of the patient is estimated based on the resulting values of said functions.

EFFECT: method allows for personalised treatment programmes and prediction of the results of medical rehabilitation at the 2nd stage in resort conditions due to the increase the accuracy and objectivity of estimation of the rehabilitation potential of the patient resulting from determining the most significant clinical and functional and laboratory indicators of the condition of the patient in the acute period of ischemic stroke.
