FIELD: chemical industry and nanotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical industry and nanotechnology and can be used in the manufacture of anode and electrode materials for chemical current sources and supercapacitors. A reaction mixture is prepared containing an aqueous solution of potassium permanganate KMnO4 and an organic compound - ascorbic acid C6H8O6 at their molar ratio of 1:(1-5), respectively. The resulting reaction mixture is treated under hydrothermal conditions under the influence of microwave radiation with a frequency of 2.45 GHz and a power of 15-20 W with constant stirring at a speed of 100-300 rpm at a temperature of 180-220°C and a pressure of 10-20 bar for 5-20 min. Then the precipitate is filtered off, washed, dried and annealed in air. The obtained nanoparticles of manganese trioxide γ-Mn2O3 have a size of 80-90 nm and a mesopore volume of 0.3 cm3/g.

EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the duration of synthesis without the use of environmentally harmful compounds.
