FIELD: method for producing a composite Mn3O4/C.

SUBSTANCE: method includes processing under solvothermal conditions a reaction mixture containing an aqueous solution of potassium permanganate KMnO4 and a carbon-containing reagent. The method is characterized by the fact that malic acid C4H6O5 is used as a carbon-containing reagent at the following ratio of components (mol): potassium permanganate: malic acid = 1: (0.75÷1.25), and solvothermal treatment is carried out under conditions of microwave radiation with a frequency of 2.45 GHz and a power of 15–20 W with constant stirring at a speed of 100–300 rpm at a temperature of 160–220°C and a pressure of 10–20 bar for 5–20 min, the resulting precipitate is filtered, washed with ethanol, and dried in air.

EFFECT: improving the quality of the resulting product.
