FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of powder metallurgy, in particular to powders used for the manufacture of iron-based alloys. Powder material can be used for operation under conditions of high temperatures, pressures, high-speed deformation, aggressive media and wide ranges of friction modes. The iron-based powder material contains chromium and carbon. At the same time, chromium is included in the composition of the iron powder in the form of an alloying element in the amount of 30-40%, and carbon in the form of coarse graphite powder with a size of 80-120 μm, in the following ratio, wt.%: alloyed iron 75-85; carbon 15-25.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance, coefficient of friction and corrosion resistance of the powder material.
