METHOD FOR SIMULATION OF BLEEDING FROM ESOPHAGEAL VEINS IN A PIG Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2778662 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to medicine, namely to experimental surgery, and can be used to simulate bleeding from the veins of the esophagus in a pig. The method includes the formation of portal hypertension by compressing the hepatoduodenal ligament with a plastic clamp, followed by fibroesophagoscopy with damage to one of the venous trunks in the lower third of the esophagus with biopsy forceps. On the fourth day after the collar is installed, the fibrogastroscope is inserted through the oral cavity through the mouthpiece into the gastrointestinal tract of the animal under visual control and placed in the lower third of the esophagus. Biopsy forceps are inserted through the instrumental channel of the endoscope. By rotating the screws of the endoscope, the working part of the forceps is set in the projection of the largest venous trunk in size. The jaws of the forceps are opened, the forceps are pushed forward, until they stop at the venous trunk, the jaws are closed, grabbing the tissues. With a jerk, the forceps are pulled back in the proximal direction, while pinching off a fragment of the venous wall.

EFFECT: the method provides accessibility and reproducibility of performance due to partial compression of the hepatoduodenal ligament with a plastic clamp.
