TRIGGER MECHANISM AND STAPLER Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B17/115

Abstract RU 2778732 C1

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely, to a trigger mechanism for a surgical stapler and to a surgical stapler. Trigger mechanism for a surgical stapler comprises a drive rod and a push button. The drive rod has a limiting groove, a trigger handle configured to rotate relative to the body of the stapler. Located in the trigger handle are a pin and a pin groove intended to accommodate the pin, and a return component is provided in the pin groove between the second end of the pin and the end surface of the pin groove, so that the pin is configured to move in a straight line in the direction defined by the pin groove. The first end of the pin is configured to protrude from the first end of the trigger handle and enter the limiting groove so as to prevent rotation of the trigger handle relative to the drive rod. The push button is configured to move in a first direction to press the first end of the pin so as to move the pin towards the second end of the trigger handle. When the trigger handle is pressed in the initial state, the trigger handle rotates from the second position to the first position; the pin rotates with the trigger handle; the first end of the pin moves distally until the first end of the pin enters the limiting groove so as to prevent the return rotation of the trigger handle to the second position. In the second implementation variant, the trigger mechanism for a surgical stapler comprises the above drive rod and a button assembly. The drive rod has a limiting groove, a trigger handle configured to rotate relative to the body of the stapler. The button assembly comprises a push rod. The first end of the push rod is inserted into the trigger handle. The push rod is configured to pass further into the trigger handle to press the first end of the pin so as to move the pin towards the second end of the trigger handle. The surgical stapler comprises one of the above trigger mechanisms. The inventions are characterised by the fact that when the stapler is not ready to be triggered, the pin is inserted into the limiting groove of the drive rod so as to prevent the rotation of the trigger handle, so that the trigger handle cannot return to the original position, since the trigger handle cannot be pushed to repeat rotation; the drive component of the trigger handle cannot push the drive rod, therefore the stapler cannot be actuated; only after the push button presses the pin to separate the pin from the limiting groove can the trigger handle rotate clockwise again to the second position, and then the trigger handle can be pushed again to activate the stapler.

EFFECT: creation of a surgical stapler equipped with an effective trigger mechanism.
