SUBSTANCE: turning tool for external turning contains an elongated tool case with opposite clamping and cutting parts defining an axial direction between each other. The cutting part contains a damping mechanism with an elongated damping element, which defines an elongation axis. The elongation axis forms a non-zero angle of the damping element with the axial direction.
EFFECT: increase in the rigidity of a turning tool is achieved.
