FIELD: cutting tools.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cutting tool for turning by the method of longitudinal turning of the Swiss type. Assembled Swiss type turning tool includes insert and tool holder. The tool holder includes a head which in turn comprises an insert socket and a fixing hole opening towards the side of the tool and a socket hole in the insert socket. The insert socket also includes a tool fixture, which in turn comprises a main surface of the tool and at least one abutment surface of the tool forming an external acute angle with the main surface of the tool. The insert contains the main surface of the insert, which, in turn, contains at least one stop surface of the insert forming an internal acute angle with the main surface of the insert. To achieve the clamped position, one fastener element, which is accessed from the side of the tool, abuts against the insert.

EFFECT: provides structural stability of the tool and simplification of the clamping device.
