FIELD: chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemical technology for obtaining encapsulated biologically active substances of the "core-shell" type and allows to obtain spherical microparticles with encapsulated carotenoid pigments with a size of not more than 100 microns, which can be used in the food or pharmaceutical industry as a biologically active or functional additive, which resistant to low acidity of the gastrointestinal tract of humans and animals. An oily solution of carotenoids isolated from the biomass of Chlorella vulgaris microalgae is used as the core material, and sodium alginate is used as the shell material. The ratio of core and shell materials varies from 1:4 to 1:6 by volume, respectively. The shell and core materials are simultaneously fed to coaxial capillaries with a diameter of 0.20-0.25 mm and 1.0-1.2 mm, respectively, through which the shell and core materials are sprayed into a solution of 10% calcium chloride and 1% polypropylene glycol, on the surface which are formed microcapsules with a shell of calcium alginate. The resulting microcapsules are separated from the calcium chloride solution, washed with distilled water and dried at a temperature of 25±2°C.
EFFECT: invention provides obtaining microcapsules of the "core-shell" type with a size of 10-20 microns.
