SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology. An orthokeratological lens for slowing the development of myopia contains a convex anterior surface and a concave posterior surface facing, when using the lens, to the patient’s eye, and contains a central optical zone, an annular return zone surrounding the central optical zone, and an annular recess adjacent on one side to the central circular optical zone and, on the other to the annular return zone.
EFFECT: application of this invention will provide the formation of a controlled deep myopic peripheral defocus to stabilize progressive myopia for patients with mild and moderate myopia.
