SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of communication and, more specifically, to a transmission method and a network device. According to the claimed transmission method, by means of the first network node, the first message is sent (121) to the second network node, the second message is received (132) from the second network node. The first message is a message from a terminal device and contains an initial time identifier of a cellular radio network, allocated by means of the first network node for the terminal device. The second message contains information on terminal device identification, which is in association with information on terminal device context, which is stored in the first network node. Based on information on terminal device identification, by means of the first network node, information on terminal device context, which is stored in the first network node, is received (142), and the initial time identifier of the cellular radio network is replaced by a new time identifier of the cellular radio network, allocated by means of the first network node for information on terminal device context.
EFFECT: provision of effective assistance to control of UE context.
