SUBSTANCE: method for processing the connection between a first block and multiple second blocks in a wireless communication network, implemented by the first block, is provided in order to realize the technical result. The first block receives (601) from each of multiple second blocks a corresponding indication of which one or several versions of the NR user plane protocol (NR-U) said block supports. The first block makes a decision (602) on which version of the NR-U is capable of being used for the connection, based on the indications received from the multiple second blocks.
EFFECT: increased productivity of the wireless communication network.
