FIELD: measuring technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measuring the rotation speed of a wheelset. The rotation angle sensor contains a modulator in the form of a disk made of an electrically insulating material and a fixed unit consisting of a bracket on which an eddy current sensor is located. The modulator is made with an arrangement of 24 to 180 conductive plates along the outer diameter or is made in the form of a gear wheel made of conductive material and equipped with 24 to 180 shaped profile teeth. In addition, the eddy current sensor consists of at least two measuring coils made in the form of multilayer printed circuit boards, with each coil located near the modulator at a radial distance of 1-5 mm from the outer diameter of the modulator and connected by terminals to a signal processing module made in the form of a printed circuit board.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measuring the rotation speed of the wheelset, an increase in the reliability of the rotation angle sensor.
