SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electric power industry and can be used to control the level of accumulation of fatigue damage in the wires of an overhead power transmission line (TL). On the power line, the first section of the wire is selected at the place of suspension of the wire on the support and the second section of the wire of the same length, located at a distance from the place of suspension. The voltages and currents of the first and second sections are measured. The surface active resistance of the first and second sections of the wire is determined. The level of accumulation of fatigue damage is determined by the change in the surface active resistance of the first section of the wire on the suspension clamp. The change in the surface active resistance of the first section of the wire is determined by the difference in active resistances with the second section. The measurement of the surface active resistance of two sections of the wire is carried out according to the bridge circuit when a high-frequency current pulse is passed. Measurements are carried out periodically by an autonomous device installed on a support with the most loaded span of the controlled section of the line. The measurement results are transmitted to the dispatcher.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of monitoring the technical condition of the wire.
