FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of industrial production of branched hydrocarbons with a homogeneous molecular structure, which are decene-1 oligomers. The invention also relates to a method for obtaining the bases of polyalphaolefin motor oils. The method for catalytic oligomerization of decene-1 is carried out in the presence of a catalyst of general formula I, where R1, R2, R3, R4=H, Me, iPr, tBu, activated by triisobutyl aluminum and tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)borate. Oligomerization is carried out with a stepwise decrease in temperature in the range of 105-70°C in increments of at least 3°C. The method for obtaining the basis of polyalphaolefin motor oils includes the following stages: a. catalytic oligomerization of decene-1; b. catalytic hydrogenation of decene-1 oligomers obtained at stage a.
EFFECT: high total yield of the target structurally homogeneous oligomeric fractions (C30+) of alpha-olefins and, accordingly, a reduced yield of by-products.
