FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to oncology, and can be used to optimise the medicinal treatment of a giant cell tumour of bone. Method includes preoperative therapy with denosumab according to the regimen of 120 mg SC on days 1, 8, 15, 28 of the first month, then once every 28 days. In anatomically complex localisations of the disease, the number of additional injections of denosumab is calculated according to the formula for a logistic model accounting for the number of injections of denosumab with stabilisation of the effect on therapy, additional injections of denosumab, and events of relapse of the disease: Relapse=exp(y)/(1+exp(y)), wherein y=-7.57272+0.603*stabilisation+0.347*additional, stabilisation is the number of injections of denosumab where stabilisation of the effect was achieved, additional is the number of additional injections of denosumab, the threshold of the "relapse" variable is 0.7, the resulting number of additional injections of denosumab is increased to the nearest integer multiple of three, and the total number of injections of denosumab is no less than 18.
EFFECT: possibility of lowering the risk of relapse of the disease and postoperative complications and reducing the time of surgery and the amount of blood loss.
