FIELD: threaded connections repair.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of repair of threaded connections, namely to the restoration of threaded holes without changing the original dimensions of parts with external threads. The way to restore a threaded connection is to cut the nut, while the thickness of the cut is equal to the thickness of the removal of part of the nut material. After that, the cut parts of the nut are connected and fixed on the screw. The parts of the nut are connected with the help of an adhesive composition, while a lubricant is applied to the screw, which makes it possible to prevent the cut parts of the nut from sticking to the screw.
EFFECT: restoration of mating in a threaded connection by removing part of the nut material.
