The method includes simulation of retinal ischemia, which is carried out under anesthesia with chloral hydrate 300 mg/kg, exerting a mechanical pressure of 110 mm Hg. on the anterior chamber of the eye for 30 minutes. Correction includes intragastric administration of 2-dimethylaminoethanol L-2-aminopentanediovoate at a dose of 25 mg/kg to white male Wistar rats 1 hour after modeling ischemic retinal damage, and then daily once a day for three days.

EFFECT: invention provides effective correction of neuronal retinal damage.
