FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to experimental pharmacology and can be used to correct neuronal damage to the retina. The method includes simulation of retinal ischemia, which is carried out under anesthesia with chloral hydrate 300 mg/kg, exerting a mechanical pressure of 110 mm Hg. on the anterior chamber of the eye for 30 minutes. Correction includes intragastric administration of 2-dimethylaminoethanol L-2-aminopentanediovoate at a dose of 25 mg/kg to white male Wistar rats 1 hour after modeling ischemic retinal damage, and then daily once a day for three days.
EFFECT: invention provides effective correction of neuronal retinal damage.
