FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to experimental pharmacology, and can be used for correction of excitotoxic retinal damage. Method of excitotoxic retinal injury correction involves intragastric administration of bis-(-2-hydroxyethyl-N-dimethylaminium) 2[(2.6-dichlorophenyl)amino]-phenylethanoate — DMAE 10-19 single dose of 13.8 mg/kg white Wistar rats 40 minutes before simulating excitotoxic retinal injury.
EFFECT: invention provides an effective method for correcting excitotoxic retinal damage.
